Acacia Academy Summer School Programs

June 15 – July 29  2022

Grade School (Grades 1-8)

Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (Late Pick-Up / Extended Care 2:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. $12/hr)           

Morning Schedule – Academics

At the grade level, we offer a program of individual instruction within a small group for students in grades 1-8. Instruction emphasizes:

  • Reading
  • Mathematics 
  • Writing Workshop, Book Making & Personal Forms of Authorship
  • Study & Thinking Skills 
  • Character Education, Social Skills 

This program also creates the desire to read, motivates the student to learn, and builds self-esteem. 

Afternoon Schedule – Thematic Activities, Arts, Sports & Nature Exploration

The afternoon session takes place in our outdoor Nature Center. Students work in Thematic Units incorporating the arts, sports, literature activities, content study, games and nature study. Each week is based on a particular theme. 

  • Students bring a snack lunch from home
  • Fee charge for late pickup
  • $40 activity fee includes: camp t-shirt, weekly field trips, daily craft supplies 
  • Design your summer program to fit your schedule!

Choose a 2 to 6 week program (weeks do not have to be consecutive). $475.00/week – $95.00/day    

High School & Transition Program  (Grades 9-12 & Ages 18-22) 

Monday – Friday (Course 1: 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.  –  Course 2: 10:30 a. m. – 12:30 p.m.) 

High school students attend our summer program to improve academic skills, receive test preparation instruction, learn rapid reading techniques, increase computer knowledge, participate in vocational programs to improve job-related skills, and/or take high school courses for credit. 

$825.00 per course (.50 credit issued) / 60 instructional hours 

*attendance is mandatory – credit will not be received if absent more than 3 days 

                        **We require testing and evaluations for all new students
